Maggie Hudson Blau

Having learned a love of color, texture and eclectic mix of styles at an early age, I grew up in Louisiana in a family full of diverse female artists, so design has always been "in my blood".

Approaching each design project with a sense of excitement and determination to deliver uplifting results, I look forward to connecting with  clients and creating  comfort, comfort and functionality in a chic and modern, yet warm and grounded, way.  We will go on a style discovery journey, after which your updated home will  relax and reenergize you.  Using our tested and efficient system of listening to your design goals and knowing how to implement your design budget in an optimal way,  our style blends old and new, texture and sheen, metal, wood and painted finishes, fabulous fabrics and interesting focal points. Our specialty is creating "feel great, look great" spaces that flow well and call to be lived in. Put your feet up, spill stuff, your space is prepared.

Our specialty is helping clients in transition: reimagining spaces as family dynamics change, streamlining, and injecting style and TLC design into the home.  We are a certified Aging in Place Specialist through the National Association of Home Builders.

After graduating with a Marketing Management degree from the University of Alabama, moving to NYC and working in the advertising industry, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC with a degree in Interior Design and  interned at Christie's  and Michael Friedes Associates in NY before opening Hudson Blau.

Professional credentials also include an Antique Appraisal Certificate from New York University and allied membership in the American Society of Interior Designers and National Kitchen and Bath Association.
